Ronaldo was born on February 5, 1985, in Portugal. He is the youngest son of four siblings. Ronaldo was named after Ronald Reagan, who is one of his father's favorite actors. CR7 grew up in a working-class neighborhood.
His childhood life was full of hardship, and he struggled financially. His father is an alcoholic. To support the children financially, Ronaldo's mother needed to work as a cook and cleaning person. In 2005, his father died from alcohol-related problems.
His hardship started again in 2007 when his mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Apart from these struggles, Ronaldo already became a legend at the age of 10. He worked so hard and was able to sign with Sporting Portugal in 2001.
